LEBANON :

Area : 10 452 km².
Official language : Arabic.
Population : 3 925 502 inhabitants.
Currency : Lebanese lira.
President : Emile Lahoud.

ISRAEL :
Capital : Jerusalem.
Area : 20 770 km².
Officials languages : Hebrew and Arabic.
Population : 7 150 000 inhabitants.
Currency : New Israeli Sheqel.
President : Shimon Peres.

A conflict started between these 2 countries on July 12 th 2006, until August 14 th 2006 ( 34 days ).
The conflict began when Hezbollah militants fired rockets at Israeli border towns, wounding several civilians, as a diversion for an anti-tank missile attack on two armored Humvees patrolling the Israeli side of the border fence.
Dead : 1 200. But also many destructions in Lebanon.

Little presentation of North Korea.

Capital : Pyongyang.
Area : 120 540 km².
Official language : Korean.
Population : 23 301 725 inhabitants.
Currency : North Korean won.
President ( dictator ) : Kim Jong-Il ( son of Kim Il-Sung, the ancient dictator of North Korea ).

Multiple international human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, accuse North Korea of having one of the worst human rights records of any nation. North Koreans have been referred to as "some of the world's most brutalized people", regarding their severe restrictions on political and economic freedoms. North Korean defectors have testified to the existence of prison and detention camps with an estimated 150 000 to 200 000 inmates, and have reported torture, starvation, rape, murder, medical experimentation, forced labor, and forced abortions. North Korea is the biggest dictature is the World. Many famines have touched the country since Kim Jong-Il has taken the power. Today, North Korea is closed from the other countries. It is really rare to have videos from there.
I saw on the French TV a North Korean girl who has left her country and was today in South Korea. The reporter said her " Do you know what happened on September 11th in 2001 ? " and she said " No, sorry ! I don't know ".

Have you ever heard about the Sudanese war ?
Many people never have heard about it.
Darfur is a region at the West of Sudan. It is populated by 6 000 000 inhabitants, mainly muslim.
The Sudanese armies bombard the villages of Darfur. The populations are victims of armed bands ( called " Janjaweeds " ) that the government of Khartoum seems to let make.
Then, since 2003, 400 000 Darfurian are dead and there are 2 400 000 refugees.
This is one genocide of our century. And what is doing the World ? Nothing...

We're two girls : Lucile from France ( 15 years old ) and Veronica from Spain ( 18 years old ).
